Position Overview:

MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company with a mission to Heal the Earth. We provide decades of experience, knowledge, industry leadership and a variety of services and products. Our services range from backyard native seeding to large-scale restoration, bioengineering, and everything in between.

MNL Products division produces 100+ species of premium native seed between three production sites across MN. A position as an Ecological Field Technician will provide hands on experience in the production of native plant and seed products and gaining native and non-native plant identification skills, while working mostly independently in an outdoor setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of general labor needed to produce seed and plant materials, which include:

• Clipping weeds in production fields.
• Pulling and hoeing of weeds in production fields.
• Harvesting of seed, by hand or using hand tools.
• Transplanting small native seedlings.
• Assist with seed handling as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience performing physical labor jobs is preferred.
• Ability to follow direction, work individually and work within a team.
• Ability to maintain a regular work schedule.
• Demonstrated success with living the company's values of passion for the mission, positivity, craftsmanship, grit, and innovation.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach, and move as needed.
• Prolonged periods of time standing.
• Must be able to work outdoors performing physical work for prolonged periods of time in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, cold and snow.
