About Us
MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company dedicated to Healing the Earth. Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.
The Landscape Laborer plays a key role in supporting our Vegetation Management team by performing field-based landscaping and restoration tasks. From controlling invasive species to maintaining beautiful native spaces, this hands-on role helps support MNL's mission while giving you valuable outdoor work experience.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Landscape Laborer (Seasonal) to join our field crews and help restore natural landscapes across Minnesota. This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a seasonal position involving physical work, teamwork, and the satisfaction of getting things done outside.
You'll work on a variety of vegetation management projects using tools like weed whips, leaf blowers, and brush cutters - all while learning from experienced team members and supporting meaningful restoration work.
What You Will Do
- Support vegetation management and landscaping projects: Use equipment like weed whips, leaf blowers, ATVs/UTVs, and brush cutters to maintain and restore native landscapes.
- Complete invasive species control tasks: Weed whip, hand-weed, and brush cut to reduce unwanted plant growth and support ecological health.
- Travel to various job sites: Work at different project locations each week - sometimes requiring early departures and occasional overnights.
- Record your work accurately: Fill out work logs at the end of each day.
- Pitch in where needed: Support your crew and stay flexible as project needs shift.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- A strong work ethic and the ability to show up on time, ready to work outdoors each day.
- Experience or willingness to learn how to safely operate and maintain tools and equipment such as rakes, shovels, small engines, ATVs/UTVs, or mowers - and follow directions to ensure proper use.
- Ability to work physically: lift up to 50 lbs., move continuously, and perform outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
- A team-first mindset, strong communication, and the motivation to contribute to something meaningful.
